Moscow hosted the premiere of the movie “Fedya. The People's Footbal Player” by the “Made in 'Delo'” production
The world premiere of the feature film “Fedya. People's Footbal Player” - a sports blockbuster on the iconic Spartak Moscow midfielder and USSR national team player Fedor Cherenkov — took place in Moscow. On October 28, a private screening was presented in the capital's Oktyabr cinema with the participation of movie stars, famous athletes, as well as Anastasia Cherenkova, the only daughter of the great soccer player.
The film by the “Made in ‘Delo’” production center recounts the path of Fedor Cherenkov: the meteoric rise of his football career, the personal dramas he experienced, love, uneasy choices and the tremendous strength of spirit and will that this man possessed.
"The audience at the premiere was crying, applauding, reacting to the jokes, and that's exactly what we were looking to achieve. It was essential for us to make a movie less about sports and more about a simple Soviet boy who believed in his dream and finally made it happen. On his journey, he faced difficult life circumstances and was able to persevere. He fought for himself and his family,” said Sergei Shishkarev, General Producer of Made in Delo and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Delo Group.
The movie was filmed in Moscow, as well as in Minsk and a number of other cities in Belarus. The role of Fedor Cherenkov was played by actor Stanislav Rumyantsev, the great coach Konstantin Beskov was played by Nikolai Fomenko, and the legendary Nikolai Starostin was played by Boris Scherbakov. The movie also starred Igor Petrenko, Sergei Migitsko, Alexander Nosik, Boris Kamorzin, Vladimir Guskov, Artem Cherkaev, Dmitry Belotserkovsky and others. The picture will be released in wide distribution on October 31, 2024.
