Sergey Shishkarev spoke about corporate measures to support families with children at the First All-Russia Demographic Conference
Sergey Shishkarev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Delo Group, took part in the First All-Russia Conference “Demographic Policy in Modern Russia: How to Achieve Growth Against the Forecasts” organized with the support of the Presidential Administration of Russia and the D.I. Mendeleev Institute for Demographic Policy.
Speaking at the plenary session that opened the conference, Sergey Shishkarev touched on the current demographic situation in Russia and spoke about Delo Group's corporate project to increase the birth rate and support motherhood and childhood. In 2023, based on the project, Delo Group’s specialists together with the specialists of D.I. Mendeleev Institute for Demographic Policy developed a methodological guidebook, which can serve as a basis for implementing similar measures in other companies.
"Our program provides support not only for families with many children, but also for employees with children in general. In less than a year since its launch 1,500 employees of the holding have taken advantage of various measures; 14 families with many children received 1 million rubles worth of welfare benefits. We hope that the adopted program will become an efficient instrument of contributing to improvement of the demographic situation in the country. I would like to emphasize that we do not claim to any benefits or privileges, we consider this project our responsibility and do answering the call of the heart," Sergey Shishkarev said.
The corporate program to improve the birth rate and support motherhood and childhood was first test-launched in PJSC TransContainer in June 2022, and in January 2023 it became available to all Delo Group employees. The program provides for progressive amounts of benefits and a sharp increase after the birth of a third child, in particular, the payment of RUB 1 million. The set of measures also includes additional payments during maternity leave, additional sick leave benefits during pregnancy and upon early return from maternity leave, compensation for kindergarten and vouchers for children's camps, expansion of the voluntary medical insurance program for employees, flexible working hours for employees with children and others. The Group companies introduced the position of a social manager to organize work with personnel in terms of the corporate program, as well as to inform them about the system of state benefits.
