Sergey Shishkarev was appointed to the Maritime Collegium of the Russian Federation by a decree of the President of Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin established by his decree the Maritime Collegium of the Russian Federation, headed by his aide Nikolai Patrushev. The same decree also included Sergey Shishkarev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Delo Group, in the Collegium's membership.
The new agency's objectives include ensuring transport sovereignty, implementing maritime policy and maritime operations, and protecting Russia's national interests. The board includes regional leaders, members of the Russian Government, representatives of core line agencies, major private and state-owned enterprises of the sector, as well as state corporations.
"Inclusion in the Maritime Collegium of the Russian Federation is both a great honor and a remarkable responsibility. As business representatives, we are profoundly interested in the development of maritime operations and look forward to a productive and coordinated cooperation between the government and the business community to implement the most ambitious projects aimed at ensuring Russia's transportation sovereignty. We expect that joining efforts will enable us to maximize the potential that our country has in the maritime transportation segment,” said Sergey Shishkarev.
