On 18-19th April 2013 Moscow’s “President Hotel” will hold V Moscow International Congress on Intelligent Transportation Systems organized by the “Center for Infrastructure Development”.
The Anniversary Congress will receive representatives of national and international transport associations and organizations, federal and regional authorities, municipal and commercial carriers, services responsible for road safety (including ecological safety), specialists from various scientific and technical fields.
The event is officially supported by the Government of the Russian Federation, the State Duma and the Department of Transportation and Road Infrastructure Development of Moscow.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Rogozin, Presidential Adviser Igor Levitin, President of Autonoumous NPO “Centre For Infrastructure Development”, member of the Expert Council under the Government of the Russian Federation Sergey Shishkarev, first deputy Chairperman of the State Duma Committee on Transport, president of Transport Workers Union of Russia Vitaly Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Head of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development Maksim Liksutov, Deputy Minister of Transport of The Russian Federation Aleksey Tsydenov are expected to speak during the plenary meeting. Altogether over 60 speakers are expected.

KapschTrafficCom (Austria) and A+C Consult (Germany) became the partners of the Congress.
Largest National research organisations such as Railway Research Institute (VNIIZht), Moscow State Automobile and Road Technical University (MADI), OJSC Scientific and Research Institute of Motor Transportation (NIIAT) co-organized section sessions.
The Congress programme includes a plenary meeting, two round table discussions and five section sessions.
The Congress will include an exhibition of new technologies in the sphere of ITS. During the second day of the Congress its participants will be able to visit the places with implemented and functioning elements of ITS.
Dmitry Rogozin highlighted the importance of ITS in his welcoming word to the participants and organizers of the Congress: “Intellectual transportation systems present a universal tool for transportation security provision, increase in traffic flow speed, decrease in transportation costs. Being a high-tech product, ITS and GLONASS systems are capable of becoming a catalyser of innovative development of traffic sphere and help Russia reach a new level of IT development and national security provision.
