Delo Group Chairman of the Board Sergey Shishkarev’s “Made in “Delo” Production Center started shooting feature film “Fedya. People's Footballer”, a sports drama about the legend of Soviet and Russian football Fyodor Cherenkov. The first shots were filmed today at the VDNH.
The plot of the film follows people's favorite, the best footballer in the country Fyodor Cherenkov who dreams to play at the World Cup, but the head coach refuses to include him in the team because of his psychological problems. For the sake of his club and his daughter, Fyodor, having learned to live with his problem, returns to lead the club to the championship and become the best again. This is the story of perhaps the country's best player of the last 50 years, who never fulfilled his dream, but remained strong against all the circumstances of his life.
“Today marks the start of a very serious and the first self-sustained project of the “Made in “Delo” Production Center. We have come up with a film about a great footballer, a man who embodies an entire era with his game, his attitude to his professional duties and to people. Thanks to Fyodor Cherenkov millions of boys came to football, fell in love with this sport and remained loyal to it. Our film is already attracting genuine interest not only from professionals and critics, but also from a huge army of fans. We are making a film for the whole country: not only for those who love football and remember Fyodor Cherenkov, but for those who need to understand what friendship, mutual support, and the Team with a big T mean, and how one must win. This film is about how one can win national glory with one’s game, modesty, and attitude,” said Sergey Shishkaryov, the film's general producer.
The film is written by Nikolay Akelkin and Ilya Kazakov, directed by Nikolay Akelkin and shot by Dmitry Trifonov. Production designer: Sergey Tyrin, costume designer: Ekaterina Dyminskaya, make-up artist: Svetlana Barova. The art director of the film is Nikolay Lebedev, Sergey Shishkaryov and Ilya Kazakov act as general producers.
