On the 20th of May, during the extended session of the Government Marine Board within International Forum «Marine Industry of Russia», a discussion was held on the main tasks of the Russian shipbuilding complex, an improvement of strategic documents on different aspects of the Russian marine industry.
The session of held by Sergey Shishkarev, the Chairman of the Presidium of the Government Marine Board. The participants discussed performances of Russian President’s orders on modernization of native civil shipbuilding and prospects of its development; suggestions to make changes in Development Strategy of maritime activities of the Russian Federation till 2030, given the results of the 1st stage implementation and other topics including the results of Black Sea sailing-ships regatta.
Within the framework of the agenda the session included reports of the Deputy Minister on Transport, V.A.Olerskiy, Deputy Minister on Economic Development, Director of the Department of shipbuilding industry and maritime technology, L.V. Strugov, Chief of the operative administration – Deputy chief of the Navy General Headquarters, rare admiral, V.F. Lyashko, vice-president of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, V.G. Bindas, Chief of the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, A.V. Frolov, Deputy Director of the Federal Fishery Agency, V.V. Sokolov.
“I am glad to say that today during the session of Presidium of the Government Marine Board we have reviewed a number of very important issues. We had a very informative, highly-professional, sometimes even difficult discussion about key questions. Respective conclusions will result in specific instructions on how to solve current problems”, Shishkarev said. – I am confident, that these steps will prompt maritime activities, enhance competitive advantages of the Russian shipbuilding industry and speed-up integration of the Crimea’s shipbuilding capacities in the economy of our country”.
On that very day the decoration for the competition “The Elite of the Russian Shipbuilding” was held. Laureates of the competition were employees of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, a number of scientific organizations and industrial enterprises, including a representative of one of the United Shipbuilding Corporation’s enterprise – Director General of Sredne-Nevskiy Shipyard, V.A. Seredoho. At the end of the ceremony, Sergey Shishkarev also gave the award to V.Y. Pospelov, the member of the Military Industrial Commission under the Government of the Russian Federation, for a substantial contribution to progress in native shipbuilding.
