Russian Presidential Aide Nikolai Patrushev Reviews Operations at Korsakov Commercial Sea Portа
Russian Presidential Aide and Chairman of the Russian Maritime Board Nikolai Patrushev visited the Korsakov Commercial Sea Port (KMTP), owned by Login Delo, a company founded by Sergey Shishkarev.
During the visit, Patrushev was presented with the port’s current production capacities as well as development projects aimed at strengthening the transport and logistics potential of the Sakhalin Region. Since Login Delo acquired KMTP in 2024, the company has been working to optimize production chains, improve the vessel call recording system, and enhance cooperation with container carriers. As part of the port modernization program, plans include repairs and upgrades to specialized port equipment, reconstruction of berths, cargo storage facilities, and access roads, along with optimization of the port management system and an increase in the cargo base. The first units of new transshipment equipment have already been delivered to KMTP under this program.
“The modernization of port infrastructure in the Sakhalin Region will strengthen transport and logistics links between the region, the Russian Far East, and Asia-Pacific countries, while also boosting cargo turnover. The container yard has already been expanded, and inspection areas enlarged, which will speed up cargo handling and broaden the range of cargo types,” said KMTP CEO Taras Avramchenko.
On the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2024, Login Delo LLC and the Government of the Sakhalin Region signed a cooperation agreement to develop the region’s transport, logistics, tourism, and recreational potential, as well as to increase the competitiveness of maritime transport volumes through Sakhalin’s ports. A key objective of the agreement is the joint modernization of Korsakov seaport infrastructure.
